Raw camera with 3 axis gimbal for less than 1000$ ?
Yes it’s possible !
500 bucks bmpcc (summer 50% special offer) with 370 bucks 3 axis gimbal + 32 bits controller board = Happyness !
I was looking for an affordable 3 axis gimbal for bmpcc, and I found the dys blg3sn : rangevideo.com/dys-blg3sn-mid-size-brushless-gimbal/851-dys-gimbal-blg3sn-with-32-bit-plug-n-play.html
It’s light (500g with motors, wires, and control board) and so inexpensive !
I made a diy hand support from my shoulder rig, with quick release system to pass from handheld to multirotor in seconds. I’ll preseent it in a new video.
I still have to fine tune pitch settings, and solve with some dampers (or wearing rollerblades ?) the little vibrations of my foot steps, but for less than 400 dollars, that’s the killer solution for bmpcc.
My PID settings are not perfect for the moment I still need to tune it. By the way if you have the same camera and a 20mm 1.7, a 14mm 2.5, or a 14-45mm this is a good starting point.
Next tests, aerial shots on the multi rotor !
